Aisling Falconer is a TCD law graduate who has just completed an internship with the legal department of a human rights NGO in Lima, Peru, working on cases arising out of the 2003 report of the Peruvian Truth and Reconciliation Commission, which investigated human rights abuses by both the military and terrorist organisations during the widespread violence in Peru in 1980-2000. She will be taking the master’s course in International Human Rights Law put on jointly by NUI Galway and Queen’s University Belfast.
Ronan Magee received a first class honours degree from University of Ulster in computing science. He will be taking the M.Sc. in Security and Forensic Computing at Dublin City University. Credit card cloning, industrial espionage and computer hacking are all investigated through the specialist profession of computer forensics. He believes that this course will equip him with the skills to help combat corporate crime.
